What are NComputing thin clients?

NComputing thin clients are locked-down endpoints designed for virtual desktops and Desktop-as-a-Service. Unlike full PCs, they shift apps and data to the data centre or cloud session host, cutting local refresh cost, noise, and attack surface.

Match SKU to platform

NComputing publishes a product lifecycle and compatible platforms table. Examples from that matrix (subject to change): EX500W and LEAF OS list wide coverage (Amazon WorkSpaces, Citrix, Microsoft AVD/RDS/Windows 365, Omnissa, Parallels, UDS, VERDE, vSpace Pro, and more); L400 and RX420(vSpace) are narrower (vSpace-focused); RX580 may be listed with Citrix focus while RX540 lists broader stacks. We never invent certifications — we check the matrix on quote day.

Security and operations

1 Which NComputing thin clients does PrecisionTech supply in India?

We supply current NComputing endpoint lines used in India projects — including EX500W (x86-64 + LEAF OS), RX540 / RX580 (Raspberry Pi CM5), RX420(RDP) / RX440(RDP) / RX-RDP+, RX300+, RX420(vSpace), and L400 — subject to availability. We confirm the live platform matrix during paid scoping.

2 What is special about the EX500W?

EX500W is an x86-64 thin client powered by LEAF OS (Intel N5095-class CPU per NComputing’s published specs), with native dual HDMI and up to 4K Ultra HD. NComputing lists broad platform coverage including Citrix, Microsoft AVD / Windows 365 / RDS, Amazon WorkSpaces, Omnissa, Parallels, UDS Enterprise, vSpace Pro, and VERDE. It is marketed as Microsoft AVD Endpoint Certified and Omnissa Horizon certified — we re-verify certification status during paid scoping.

3 What are RX540 and RX580?

RX540 and RX580 are high-performance thin clients on the Raspberry Pi CM5 platform with LEAF OS, dual full HDMI (4K-class dual display), Gigabit Ethernet, and dual-band Wi-Fi. NComputing positions them for Citrix, Microsoft, Omnissa, vSpace Pro, VERDE, and related workloads. Platform coverage can differ by SKU (for example lifecycle tables may list RX580 with Citrix focus) — confirm before purchase.

4 Do thin clients include PMC licenses?

Often yes for many RX-RDP / EX500W / LEAF OS SKUs, but rules differ. NComputing states that purchase of several RX/EX/LEAF OS SKUs includes PMC licenses, while L400, RX300+, and RX420(vSpace) may require AMP for vSpace Pro or AMP for VERDE VDI. We confirm licensing in the quote.

5 Is EX600W available in India?

Treat regional SKUs carefully. Some NComputing models are marketed for specific regions (for example Europe-only lines). We only quote SKUs we can legally supply and support for your delivery address.
